Edit: I'd try using yoga blocks if the headboard is too short for you. I have a 14" mattress and didn't wanna invest in bolsters, but a standard gray foam yoga block cut in half is the same size as a bolster, unnoticeable, and raises the height of the headboard just enough for me. A whole yoga block would raise it 6".

I am definitely getting the bolster (or two) when they come out. Anxiously awaiting their release.
