Cosmere reddit. Things To Know About Cosmere reddit.

The various stories in the Cosmere take place on a number of different planets in the same universe. Each planet tends to have one or more Shards ("gods" like Ruin, Preservation, Honor, Odium, etc.) tied to them. In Warbreaker, the Shard (Endowment) is only involved obliquely but they tend to be more active in many of the Cosmere stories.Warning Gancho: The below paragraph(s) may contain major spoilers for all books in the Cosmere! And on Fiji, we went and visited one of the local villages.SA feels like the main core of cosmere stuff followed by Mistborn Era 2 so in my opinion I would recommend reading them after atleast the earlier cosmere stuff but then again SA is also the best of them of all so it really depends on what you want. Edit: Tress of the Emerald Sea is a nice mid length story but has a lot of cosmere stuff.Cosmere Reading Guide (Updated for Secret Project 1, 2023-01-01) Sifting through multiple different Cosmere reading order charts, yours seem the most informative yet simple to me. Thanks a bunch! The only thing I'm missing now are the arrows from your previous charts that showed how each series was more directly connected to the others.

Reddit .The cosmere simply hasn't had that kind of exposure and relentless production that marvel comics have. I could get into the difference about Marvel being easy to get into because much of the content is just about characters who fill clearly defined roles and tropes and less about the actual story they're going through.big432 • 2 yr. ago. This chart is basically just fixing those issues. It opens up the starting point but still encourages reading all the early cosmere books first. Then moves to the later stuff, with Stormlight last if you care to take the arrows' advice. The cost is complexity of course.

The Cosmere is a star cluster of 50-100 stars (and the corresponding space in the cognitive realm). Brandon has said that anything outside this area is out of scope of the story, so whether there are other Adonalsiums outside of it, or whether there's anything at all outside of it, isn't really accessible. Earth is not part of the Cosmere. While a lot of this is speculative, I think the Stormlight timeline is pretty solid: five year gap between 5 & 6, then three year gaps between 6 through 10. Less solid is the projected conclusion of the Cosmere itself in 2052–that could be shortened or extended by ~5 years easily. 1 / 7 4 comments 71 Posted by 8 hours ago Rhythm of War Does Kaladin ever feel The Thrill? spoiler 7 comments 260Elantris. While not capitalized, Cultivation did explicitly say she was looking for someone to bear Odium with honor. It could also add to the idea of "uniting them".Most cosmere philosophers disagree with this belief. Notable Citizens & Visitors . As others point out, at the start of the story, you have two completely distinct worlds, one with Yumi, the other with the Nightmare Painter (he calls himself "Painter"). Its "Read and find out". Then what does it mean for something to be RAFO'd? It means that typically the person asking Brandon the question is asking something that Brandon doesn't want to reveal yet or will be revealed later in the books/series. Basically, it would be a spoiler for Brandon to divulge that information.

While Marsh says that this is Sazed love of making Marsh live up to the legends told about him I worry that something more insidious is going on.
