SUGGESTION: click on the second image and assign keybinds to the three items marked with red rectangle. This way you can have instant control over nameplates.

Is there a setting in plater that nameplates are always in the visible frame. For example for large enemys the nameplate is on top and I have to look up to see it. When i used elvui with plater i had that problem. I moved away from elvui and the nameplates are now always visible.
