Since the beginning, W101 has always been pay to win, so they want to swipe and buy packs for that deer knight. Crafting is the most efficient way to get it. Only issue you might have is getting amber which isn't too hard to farm for.

Not only that but it’s 5 pips so you can instantly cast it when you get the +1 pip decks.
