Nope, Adamantite has the better defense. I don’t think so, but I always play ranger so I skip both sets anyways. I actually did a test on this, I compared the stats of the mage set for them, and Titanium Armor had better stats overall, but that's mage, and nobody really plays mage. (I don't think at least)
