You could literally start a scav, run straight to extract and sell all the stuff you were given and come out ahead.

I know nothing about this game other then the general idea (survival, pvp, etc) from YouTube videos so I knew scav should be a good jumping off point as it seemed like a place to "train" for PMC side of things.

Scav timer cooldown is crucial, more exfils, and scav case cooldown are strong. It's worth it because I can reliably scav and loot and not have to loot on my PMC at all. That said, I do not think we are actually seeing most of the uninsured kit that people lose in game. Fence rep 6 gear does not look like a PMC's kit, like ever.

If you downloaded a patch or update, you'll automatically get a cooldown when you log on. Might also happen if BSG dors some server side work. Use your scav cooldown wisely and only on maps you know the least. Worked pretty well for me and I'm also pretty new to the game (~1 month). Good luck!
