Cheapest version to make is the entire slaver set (hardened steel plus the epic heavy padding), which is pretty much the cheapest epic to make. Each piece gives bonuses to strength weapon damage. The Voidforged chest and Redeemed helmet just have higher percent increase on damage.

Other mods have little to no effect, so less weight is good. Armor: Craft using a Shieldwright for massive additional armor value. You can equip your thralls with different kinds of weapons, but because of their stats it is still smart to give archers ranged weapons and let fighters use melee weapons. For your build you should not be going Encumbrance, let your thralls carry anything you can't, you should be travelling light.
