Dex make your casting a bit faster if you level it up over 40. A few points now doesn't really help that much. People do dex/int hybrid build because 1) crystal magic weapon buffs your damage quite a lot and 2) you can cast offensive magic faster. But I assumed you want a pure mage build, which would be different than that.
