Litter robot 3 pinch sensor.
My Litter Robot 3 has been having a weird issue for the last two weeks. When it cycles, the globe rotates counter-clockwise until the hall sensor detects the magnet on the globe. It then stops, like it should. Then it's supposed to rotable clockwise to return to its home position, when the hall sensor detects the other magnet on the globe.
Take the screws out of the base. Unplug the wire from each pinch bar and remove the bars from the plastic slots. Now take some pliers, tin snips, or whatever you have laying around and cut a clean, non-corroded piece of the pinch bar off so you have a small piece of metal. Vacuum the inside perimeter of the Bezel with a brush attachment, passing over the holes at the top of the Bezel where the curtain sensors are located. Now, let's run a test cycle. Short press the Reset button, then short press the Cycle button to run a Clean cycle. I've heard that some litters don't play nicely with the sensors. I'm using Arm and hammer Clump and seal. My litter robot 3 connect quit working and just the yellow light was flashing rapidly. I looked and read the manual and thoroughly cleaned the pinch sensors and DFI sensors. Still nothing worked. Then I went ahead and ordered new pinch and DFI sensors kit on the the LR website. I received it today and installed it correctly a couple of hours ago.Something to do with the light sensor causing a fault. That doesn’t seem like it will be an issue with the 4. I love the sensor in the 4 that immediately stops things when a cat even sticks their head past the threshold, as opposed to them needing to step into it in the 3.
